Its unusual to see large waves on the sheltered waters of Howe sound. I really enjoyed this rough and windy day.

One of my favourite pictures from the summer. This creek was in the Trophy Mountains of Wells Grey park. Just beautiful.

Taken on a recent trip to Vanocuver this old willow rises like a hand from the frozen swamp. Every winter Trout Lake bursts its bounds and launches an invasion of the surrounding land.

Well the monsoon has started again and it is too wet to play outside. The snow is almost gone. All I have left is my memories. :)

Another picture from Gibsons harbor. It was taken a few days ago when the sun was still out. Crowded harbors create an interesting aesthetic challenge for me. Isolating a subject from the busy background can be quite difficult.

Yet another snow picture. Walking in the snow is not a pleasure you get on the coast very often. This picture tries to capture the feeling of snow crunching underfoot on a cold morning.

No sunrises, sunsets or snow today. I went for a walk in Gibsons and saw lots of boats.) THey are surprisingly hard to photograph. The contrast between the lights and the darks coupled with the gleaming of the sun on metal create a challenging subject.

Another Sunset picture from Roberts Creek. THis one is from Dianna's porch. We took a break from playing Celtic tunes to watch the Sun slide behind Vancouver Island.

My morning walk yesterday was a bit different than usual..... The trees were covered in snow like a confection of spun sugar. The sky had a delicate subtlety that we seldom see on the west coast.

Snow in Roberts Creek...Who'd a thunk it. Anyway it is quite beautiful and gives me a whole new appreciation of the rainforest.

The delicate patterns of frost on leaves are an unusual sight on the Sunshine Coast as the temperature drops below zero!! Roberts Creek is a long way from Montreal!!

Sometimes the best color of a sunrise are subtle. Salmon pink, saffron and mauve. This morning was truly beautiful.
